Dans le cadre d'une reflexion sur les methodes et les techniques de recherche sur le terrain ainsi que sur la construction d'une ecriture ethnographique ou le je de l'ethnologue intervient, l'A. s'est interesse aux roles tenus par les informateurs principaux. A partir de son experience ethnographique avec un de ses ses informateurs privilegies sur les ceremonies rituelles du Tana Wai Brama dans les Iles Flores (Est indonesien), l'A. montre que les informateurs definissent le contenu des informations et la forme de l'analyse ethnographique, donc collaborent a leur propre ethnographie. La culture ne serait qu'une theorie qui permettrait d'expliquer les observations d'un comportement individuel ou social (les donnees ethnographiques) fabrique par l'ethnologue au cours de sa recherche sur le terrain
