of soot, with no metal spheres and contain particles of charcoal. The compostition of the silicated coating suggest metal melting temperatures around 1 300 to 1 400 °C. The presence of Ni and Sn within the silicated coating on the globules can be a usable trace to determine the source of the metal used in Bavay
