This article highlights the role of the body in recent scholarship on African evangelicalism by showing its intersections with sexuality studies, gender theory, and disability theory. While there has been much work done in African religious studies in conjunction with queer theory, the radical possibilities of queer theory have not been fully realized, nor has the potential for radical futures been extensively researched in relation to gender theory and disability studies. Thus, in this article, I trace different trajectories for interdisciplinary theorization with trans theory, intersex experiences, queer theory & theology, and crip theory in conjunction with African evangelicalism
