Índios desaldeados no Triângulo Mineiro e Alto Paranaíba

This Master's research in Social Sciences is an ethnography of the desalted Indians in the Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba.The realization of this research has its origin in an approximation of the indigenous theme that I had at the end of the graduation, a priori bibliographically and that from the classes of Anthropology and mainly of Ethnology, I began a reflection on the Indians who live in these mining regions, elaborating the research project.The results of the research that I present in this dissertation, besides trying to contribute to the reduction of stereotyped notions about the Indian living in the city, will also try to demonstrate the ethnic and cultural multiplicity that was possible to explore during the period of the field work that I realized in these regions mining companies.I observed the ethnocultural multiplicity that exists in the life trajectories of the families that contributed much to the accomplishment of this investigation.In the ethnography, four important themes were discussed.The first one was about the knowledge and the stories that the urban Indians establish with the medicinal plants, associating the "being in the city" with the maintenance of this traditional practice, lived through the different uses the different meanings and meanings given to natural remedies.The second sought to understand how the struggle for land and for urban housing undertaken by deprived Indians in alliance with social and political movements of urban and rural workers has taken place.And the third was about the Indigenous Association in the city of Triângulo Mineiro Sul, Araxá, and its struggle to defend indigenous rights in urban space through political and cultural action.Finally, the urban Indian experience in these regions of Minas Gerais, where it was possible to explore the multiplicity found in other urban experiences in Araxá, as well as in other cities of the Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba, as well as discussing the considerations about the stereotyped figure of the is based on the assumption that there is no generic Indian, which only exists as a production of the Brazilian popular imagination.This research is also sought to understand about the construction of indigenous self-image in these shaded regions and from this construction, to understand the empowerment before the indigenous reality that they experience
