This article uses dramatic survival narratives to argue for a scientific basis for extrasensory perception and for certain zones of particular receptivity to energy-based information flows. Using data focused on the North, claims are made that in the Arctic, frozen conditions are particularly conducive to the preservation and repetition of time and space anomalies. Among the Turkic Sakha [Yakut], this manifests itself in the folk wisdom of Tengri beliefs and practices, in respect for ancestors and sacred places, and in survival accounts in extreme conditions
