Over the past twenty years, the author has had the opportunity to study the developmental patterns as well as the incidence and nature of emotional disorders exhibited by the kibbutz child population. Kibbutz children and youth do not reveal any specific personality type, developmental deviations, or distinctive psychiatric syndromes. The author has not found a single case of non-organic early childhood psychosis among 3,000 kibbutz emotionally disturbed children referred to the kibbutz clinics
