When the United Nations General Assembly decided in 1971 that it was desirable bring the notice of the international community the work done in the field of peace research by national and international institutions,2 it underscored the importance of communication the peace research movement. The fact that this was the first such resolution be adopted by the assembly of the world organization created in 1945 to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war3 is indicative of the same problem of inadequacy of communication confronting peace research. Coupled with this problem, and in fact a manifestation of it as well, is the lack of cohesion within peace research. Such fluidity has direct bearing not only on the question of peace research communication
