This paper describes analyses of scores from a multiaptitude test battery administered to 93 subjects, all of whom had IQ scores within the top 2% on standard intelligence test norms. The battery contained 12 subtests. Five were developed specifically to assess aptitudes which have been associated with creative thinking, consisting of three production (divergence) tests, a redefinition test, and a verbal sequencing test. The results demonstrated that the verbal battery discriminated reliably at high intelligence levels. Correlations of the five creativity aptitudes with IQ ranged from .16 for sequencing and figure fluency to .35 for verbal fluency. Since only 12 of the 66 intercorrelations were higher than .30, a major test design objective of achieving subtest independence was satisfied. The low creativity subtest intercorrelations suggested infrequency of high creative aptitude combinations among high IQ persons. This notion was supported by the aptitude combination frequencies obtained
