The connection of the location of economic activity and the tramway layout is studied by examining the relationship for the years 1914, 1935 and 1960. These dates were selected because 1914 was the beginning of the electrification of La Coruna trams and the start of World War I, 1935 was the last year of the Second Republic, and the dismantling of the trams occurred in 1960. The author concludes that while the evolution and consolidation of the tram network influenced the location of economic activity in La Coruna, it is difficult to detect a definable pattern in the connection
