Research Article| April 01 2020 Polish American Studies and the Organizations of American Polonia Donald Pienkos Donald Pienkos Donald E. Pienkos is a professor emeritus (political science) at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and chairs its Polish Studies Committee. His publications include histories of the Polish National Alliance, Polish Falcons of America, the Polish Women’s Alliance (with his wife Angela Pienkos), and the Polish American Congress and his contributions to The Polish American Encyclopedia (2011). From 1987 to 2003, he served on the Board of Directors of the PNA and as assistant to its Executive Committee. As a PAC national director, he worked for Poland’s entry into NATO. In 2007 he and Angela Pienkos received the Haiman Medal from the Polish American Historical Association. In 2010 Donald Pienkos was awarded the Officers Cross of Service by the President of Poland.
