In the current AIDS epidemic, social workers must interact with numerous systems—persons diagnosed with AIDS and their friends and families and human services agencies. Subsequently, workers must deal with their responses to such interaction, including countertransference. The authors highlight eight countertransference issues that workers typically confront and present strategies for dealing with these issues

Countertransference · Human services · Political science · Psychoanalytic theory · Psychotherapist · Transference · HIV/AIDS Research and Interventions · Homelessness and Social Issues · Law · Psychology · Social Work Education and Practice · Social Work
