A description of the excavation of several cists. The construction and contents of each cist is described in great detail. Several urns and human remains in various states of decay were removed from the cists and donated to the Society's collections. The author tentatively proposes that these cists may be dated to the Iron Age, rather than the Stone Age, based on some fragmentary evidence of iron nearby. He concludes by noting examples of similar cists found in other European countries
