Readers familiar with the contro- versy surrounding Dr. Inhaber's work' know that the mistake we mention was only one of dozens of substantial errors pervading every facet of his analysis. Inhaber's errors included major con- ceptual blunders, misreading or mis- quoting primary references, confusion of units, and arithmetic mistakes, as well as instances of every other pitfall mentioned in our article. These errors have been documented extensively else- where.2-9Correcting only the largest and most obvious of these errors completely scrambled Inhaber's ranking of ener- gy sources.9
