L'A. a constate que nombreux sont les etudiants qui abordent les etudes de sociologie avec un sentiment exacerbe de leur unicite, pensant pouvoir echapper a toute contrainte sociale. Une conception opposee tendrait a presenter une societe entierement controlee. A mi-chemin entre les deux, l'A. a propose a ses etudiants une implication personnelle dans des projets sociaux, tels que la protection de l'environnement, ou la lutte contre le racisme, la pauvrete ou la violence. Cet article decrit la progression des etudiants et leur prise de conscience des possibilites comme des limites de l'action individuelle
