The perceptions shared are those of onepreceptor, who supervised two interns in two separate, 12 month internships over a two-year period. Three areas of concern are addressed: 1) establishing a program, 2) maintaining a program, and 3) responding to intern needs. Documentation of some skills used in supervising these two internships may assist other internship supervisors in making their internships more successful
