Les Etats-Unis et le Japon ont longtemps mis en oeuvre un partenariat symbiotique. La sociologie japonaise approte sa contribution aux approches multiculturelles et internationales en sociologie. Le but du cours est d'aiguiser les capacites analytiques et d'observation des etudiants et d'augmenter leur comprehension de la societe japonaise en utilisant les theories et concepts sociologiques. Le cours aide egalement les etudiants a accepter, apprecier et respecter les differences socioculturelles entre deux nations
