This replication study explores the relationship between attributes of innovative social studies materials and attitude towards and adoption of these materials. Four conceptually developed attributes (relative advantage, compatibility, observability, and trialability) were significangly related to both attitude toward materials and adoption of materials. Two factor-analyzed attributes (observable benefits and investment requirements) were also significantly related to attitude and adoption. A significant relationship between attitude toward materials and adoption of materials was discovered, and there was a difference between respondents with greater influence and respondents with lesser influence on their adoption of the materials
