O Conselho de Acompanhamento e Controle Social do Fundeb de Campo Verde-MT

Este artigo apresenta os resultados da pesquisa de doutoramento desenvolvida entre os anos de 2007 a 2011, a qual tomou como objeto de estudo o Conselho de Acompanhamento e Controle Social do FUNDEB (Fundo para o desenvolvimento da educação básica) de Campo Verde – MT, visando compreender, em seu funcionamento, quais são as concepções e práticas reveladas pelos conselheiros a respeito de suas funções e da potencialidade do órgão para democratizar as relações entre Estado e sociedade civil. A base teórico-metodológica da pesquisa é pertinente ao materialismo histórico. Os resultados evidenciam a fragilidade do Conselho e limites no controle social exercido. A efetividade do controle social do Conselho estudado está ausente na prática.
