This article critically (re)engages the concept of agonistic peace. It highlights the ways in which the scholars in this volume have built upon, deepened and broadened both the concept and the application of agonistic peace. It draws attention to how they have expanded our understanding of agonism and its implications for the field of peace study. This review essay concludes with some observations about future directions for research and questions that have been prompted by this collection
