Reflexions on Different Models of Evaluation. There is no specific french model of evaluation. But certain differences come out of an analysis of the objects of evaluation on one side, the logic of evaluation demand on the other, and of the ways for institutionalizing and professionalizing evaluation in France and a number of other western countries. Evaluation develops in a way which is more scattered in France than abroad. The diversity of objects, goals and competences leads to a complexity which makes the accumulation of a methodological knowledge and the progress of capabilities more difficult
