The article focuses on the 2020 parliamentary elections in Lithuania by looking into the previous parliamentary elections and the evolution of the electoral system. Then, characteristics of electoral parties, characterisation of electoral campaign and the electoral results and indices and the political follow-up after the 2020 general elections are presented. The 2020 national elections brought a change of the government with the Conservatives and two liberal parties at the helm. Brand new, populist, radical, Eurosceptic, antisystem, ex-communist, far-right and far-left parties did not get into the parliament. Party system can be characterised as moderate pliuralism with centripetal competition and little polarisation: three centre-right and three centre-left factions represent mainstream parties at the Seimas. Electoral volatility reduced by half. Socio-economic and pandemic-related issues dominated the campaign and the political conflict
