La crise environnementale est la consequence rigoureuse de la determination rationaliste de toute chose comme objet dont l’essence est d’etre a la disposition d’un sujet, qui s’assure de son propre statut de maitre et de possesseur de la nature au moyen d’une batterie de schemas de pensee dualistes qui ravalent les etres naturels inanimes, les animaux, les femmes, etc., a un rang hierarchique inferieur. L’urgence est donc, pour l’auteure, de deconstruire les multiples « cadres conceptuels oppressifs » qui structurent la pensee occidentale, en soumettant a l’analyse le mode de pensee qui procede de facon systematique a une hierarchie et a un dualisme des valeurs, qui multiplie les paires disjonctives, qui se realise pleinement enfin sous la forme d’une « logique de la domination »
