The boundaries between prose and verse, the presence of different voices ́s characters, wich act as semi-heteronyms and gravitate the texts giving distance to the poetic self; the journey to the past as a revealing experience and the insuffiency of word as the mean of expression are the principal subjects of the Álvaro Mutis ́s poetry. In this essay, the concept of epiphany, understood as a representation of the perfect order or as an indecipherable formula of a mystery against the agonistic circumstances of disaster, unifies the colombian’s poetic work
