Two rescue excavations at Nohant-en-Graçay (Cher) and Brion (Indre), occasioned by a programme of works along the projected route oftheA20 motorway, have revealed plateau-rim and valley-slope occupation sites attributable to the Early Neolithic and Middle Neolithic I periods. The finds discussed here contribute to a better understanding of the process of Neolithicisation in the southern Paris Basin, that crossroads of cultural influences
