Si presenta una phiale in oro, con iscrizione puntinata in lingua e caratteri greci. La phiale proviene da scavi clandestini in territorio di Caltavuturo (Palermo); esportata negli Stati Uniti, è stata giudicata pertinente all’Italia ed assegnata al Museo di Himera. Si studia la decorazione, costituita da girali, palmette, frutti di faggio, ghiande, api, raccogliendo i confronti pertinenti e situando l’oggetto nella classe di pertinenza, anche grazie alle fonti letterarie ed epigrafiche. L’iscrizione ricorda il nome proprio del dedicante, probabilmente completato dal patronimico; è inoltre registrato il peso. Quest’ultimo è segnato con il sistema acrofonico pseudo ascendente, che permette di assegnare con sicurezza la phiale ad ambito sicelioto, tra iv e iii secolo a.C
