Rapport preliminaire des etudes de terrain menees dans une region comprise entre le sud du Gange et le Rajmahal de Chausa, incluant l'ensemble du district de Gaya (nord-est de l'Inde). Cette etude avait pour but d'evaluer les foyers d'habitat majeurs de la region. Un grand nombre de ces habitats offrent de riches details sculpturaux, architecturaux et iconographiques, auxquels les auteurs se referent afin d'elucider la chronologie et les caracteristiques d'habitat
