The deciphering of the Delphic treasury accounts of the 4th century, dated to the archons Palaios and Dion and known as "apousiai accounts", has always presented difficulties for epigraphers, whose proposals, taken up by numismatists, entail important consequences in the area of monetary history. At the head of the whole series, they are also rank among some of the most important, because of the details of the operations of monetary verification they contain. Since P. de La Coste-Messeliere, there has been an over-systematic endeavour to discover refer ences to "new" or "amphictionic" money, notably in CD 75, col. II, in an inventory of expenses dated to the autumn of 336, where it is premature to include them. Here we concentrate on contesting the restorations proposed in the Delphic Corpus and refocusing the debates on the subject of monetary history
