1. Through my participation in the Public Historical Studies Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and my employment, I have met and heard of a number of fellow historians serving the business world. Among the living examples of historians inside business and the variety of work they do are the following people: Corporate Archivists-Edie Hedlin and Harold Anderson, Wells Fargo Bank; Philip Mooney, Coca Cola Company; Douglas A. Balken, Ford Archives; Greg Lennes, International Harvester; and John Donofrio, Bank of America. Corporate Historians (authors and researchers of business histories and other business-related historical literature)-Enid Douglass, Arco; William Heintz, freelance author of historical biographies of California wineries; Philip Cantelon (C & W consultants) on Three Mile Island; Stephen S. Oakford, Hotel Del Coronado; Karen Smith, Salt River Project Company; Mimi Stein, Silicon Valley oral history project; Kathy Lang, Lawry's Foods; and Frank H. H. King, Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank. Policy, Economic, and Regional Analysis-Lawrence Bruser, Mitsui Corporation; Florence Alberts, Bank of America; and Robert W Pomeroy, Inter-American Development Bank
