Research Article| October 01 2016 Interethnic Catholicism and Transnational Religious Connections: Milwaukee’s Mexican Mission Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1924–1929 Sergio M. González Sergio M. González Sergio M. González is a doctoral candidate in the Department of History at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research and teaching interests include labor, working-class, and immigration history. His primary research focuses on the development of Latino communities in urban areas in the American Midwest, with an emphasis on the religious communities that Latino immigrants developed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, throughout the twentieth century. He is currently completing a book manuscript titled Mexicans in Wisconsin (Wisconsin Historical Society Press).
