No direct link can be established between the “megaron” of the mycenean palaces and the early temples on purely architectural grounds, and illustrate in this way a transition between private and public. Only a broader study of the various forms of Greek social and cultural memory can shed some light on the question of continuity and changement between the second and first millenium
