In this work we present the concept of Bien Vivir or Buen Vivir / Sumac Kawsay, its origins and divergences. Buen Vivir appears as the constitutional principle of the new plurinational constitutions of Bolivia, Ecuador and Venezuela, proposing a community paradigm and collective constructions of life form. It is also presented as a way of thinking that is based on the Andean worldview, going against the process of colonization and subalternization of the historical subjects in Latin America, proposing other social practices, epistemologies, different forms of relationship with nature and contrary visions of the logic of neoliberal capitalism. We point to the need for a "decolonial" pedagogical proposal, in the perspective of Buen Vivir that denounces the new forms of slavery that act on the consciences and seek an epistemic reunion, ours, of the subalternized peoples, aiming at the rescue of a full life, in harmony with Mother Earth (Pachamama)
