Some situations in social work practice contain so much potential for conflict that workers would benefit from training in conflict resolution. Foster family care is a prime example. This paper describes a method of helping workers understand the sources of conflict in foster family care and ways of resolving conflicts constructively. It starts from the premise that there are unique problems in the foster family care situation.
