Detailed study of new seqences located in complementary morphological positions, jointed to thoses of anciently known cuttings (Saint Acheul - Montières) lead to the definition of local lithostratigraphical successions. Their correlation through the pedological and periglacial level-marks issue to a general lithostratigraphical system. The proposed chronostratigraphical interpretation is based on the pedosedimentary expression of the climatic phases, confronted to the first thermoluminescency chronological data
