Simmel fut le premier a utiliser l’idee de forme en sociologie, non pas comme un simple instrument abstrait de methodologie, mais comme une realite vitale, expression de l’action reciproque du quotidien. L’objectif de cet article est de mettre en evidence comment Simmel parvint a cela en transposant la morphologie elaboree par Goethe dans ses metamorphoses des plantes a l’etude de l’argent
