Male-to-female transgender men are frequently underrepresented in research on transgender issues. This article presents the results of a study examining the demographics of transgender men in the United States and Canada between September and October 2005. Three hundred and twenty-one self-identified transgender men responded to an online survey inquiring about geographic locale, employment, gender terminology, support services, significant relationships, and transition status. Results indicate that a majority were under 35, employed full or part time, and had at least some college or graduate school education. Most men had not experienced service refusal, homelessness, or lack of relational support systems
