Evidencias sobre el uso del perro en la carga durante el Bronce Inicial en la Península Ibérica
El caso de Can Roqueta II (Sabadell, Barcelona)

En este artículo se estudian las patologías en la columna vertebral de dos perros hallados en depósitos rituales del Bronce Inicial (2.300-1.300 cal BC) en el yacimiento de Can Roqueta II (Sabadell, Barcelona). El análisis radiológico muestra un engrosamiento y torsión de la zona cortical en diversas apófisis neurales de vértebras lumbares y torácicas y atribuye la deformación a causas funcionales, caso del estrés ósteo-muscular producido por el soporte de la carga sobre el lomo. El estudio apunta al uso del perro como acémila, reforzando información arqueológica de otras zonas del mundo así como datos etnográficos procedentes de Europa y Norteamérica
