Health is a matter of public agenda and more and more information on health issues with true knowledge of the subject and correct use of primary sources is being required by specialist journalism,. This investigation analyses the treatment of information regarding Anorexia Nervosa in 3 Spanish newspapers (El País, El Mundo, ABC) over 5 years (2007-2012). The results provide interesting information concerning issues associated with that illness and the sources used to prepare the reports. The texts which appeared most often focused on famous people (31%), medical events/legality (26%) and work carried out for prevention or awareness (24%). The most requested sources were the most famous ones or those linked to famous people (35,7%), institutions/foundations (26,4%) and health staff (21,4%)
