The research aims to study the effectiveness of modern pedagogical approaches and methods designed to stimulate creative thinking skills taking into account the active role of an inventive teacher. The study involved 300 mathematics, philology and biology students ( SD = 21.4) of a higher educational institution of the People’s Republic of China. The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) were used as a tool. In the context of major subjects, the control groups obtained an average score of 66.8 points. Group B received 77.7 points, which is 14.0% higher. This indicates the effectiveness of modern pedagogical approaches in the context of teaching various disciplines. The results obtained emphasize the importance of modern pedagogical approaches in twenty-first-century education since they not only increase the learning process’s efficiency but also contribute to the development of creative skills among the younger generation
