This qualitative study aims to investigate digital dating violence among university students. This research was conducted using a purposive sampling approach to obtain a study group of university students who were victims of digital dating violence. Data were collected through individual interviews with 13 participants. Content analysis was conducted using an inductive approach. Six main themes emerged, including the characteristics of the victim, the characteristics of the relationship, forms of digital dating violence, reasons for continuing in abusive relationships, ways of coping, and the effects of digital dating violence. The findings show how digital tools can facilitate and escalate violence in dating relationships among university students. Some participants exhibited behaviors such as recognizing signs of digital violence and setting clearer boundaries in subsequent dating relationships. Others preferred to avoid romantic relationships because they could not overcome the fear of digitally violent dating relationships. This research demonstrates that digital dating violence affects many areas of participants' lives. The results provide important insights into the complex dynamics of digital dating violence among college students and highlight the need for comprehensive prevention and intervention efforts to address this problem and reduce its long‐term impacts effectively
