This article offers an analysis of popular media reports about bisexual men and HIV from some of the first stories about AIDS in the mid-1980s to the present. By not acknowledging the differences between sexual identity and behavior, these reports have stigmatized bisexual men while ignoring the need for safer-sex practices by everyone, regardless of sexual orientation. In addition to this critique, the author suggests alternative strategies for HIV-prevention education
