After one year of preparatory work a model of cooperation for patients with chronic wounds was implemented in the hospital 'Krankenhaus Gttlicher Heiland' in June 2009. Principals of the project are the Vienna health insurance and Vienna's medical association, the practical implementation lies mainly in the responsibility of the 'Krankenhaus Gttlicher Heiland'. This project is arranged for the duration of two years; within this time an integrative model of medical care involving hospital, doctors in the extramural sector and the medical mobile nursing care will be implemented
