This article examines the relationship between thought and language presented in Stéphane Hessel's phenomenally successful Indignez-vous !, published in France in 2010. The present article does not set out to serve as an “analysis” of this (somewhat insubstantial) book's contents, but seeks rather to study the implications, demands, and ramifications of the book's title: Indignez-vous
