Europe is an area where nuclear issues highly affected the political discourse in the past. Particularly, communication and relations around nuclear power-related issues between Washington and Moscow could have been better if only Europe played more within the Non-Proliferation Regime. The establishment of a supreme organ where nuclear and non-nuclear powers meet is still missing today. Regular meetings in a specialized organ would be required to conceal historic allies and former enemies in terms of nuclear issues. Talks and meetings between superpowers are essential today as they were forty years ago. Communication between nuclear powers is the key to prevent nuclear catastrophes. Because of its diplomatic nature, the EU could be a leader in the meetings to alleviate tensions between nuclear powers. A supranational body dealing with nuclear issues – based on communication, exchange of information, and knowledge in the nuclear sphere – would be necessary
