The authors describe the geological mapping of Manitoba and outline the cartographic techniques used in the production of the maps. The Mineral Resources Division is responsible for the preparation of small format maps and diagrams, monochrome maps of geophysical surveys and oil well locations, two-colour maps in the range of 1:20,000 to 1:250,000, and multi-colour geological maps from large scale series to 1:1 M. The paper outlines their production from original compilation by the geologist through to final printing
