This paper explores the contemporary state of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Serbia, with a particular focus on its role in preserving the religious and cultural identity of the Romanian community. The analysis examines the historical context, demographic and socio-cultural context, and the Church?s influence on the daily lives of its members. The research is based on semistructured interviews with Romanian Orthodox clergy and an analysis of church press and official sources. The study highlights issues such as demographic decline, language barriers, and decreased interest in the Church, emphasizing its significance in preserving the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Romanian community in modern Serbian society
