Two songs from the Zambie cult, which is widespread in northern Guro area, of the Ivory Coast, tell how this cult's first owner had to kill his mother, who had transgressed the prohibition against women approaching the building where he had installed his Zambie. Sociologically, this tragic myth about Zambie correspond to an important time in the institution of society. From a psychanalytical viewpoint, it cryptically suggests the individual's successive identifications during psychic maturation
