Añaki' s age class system. Christine Henry. The Añaki's age class system makes an unusual and strange distinction between men and women. The analysis of the rights and duties of men, of the method of recrutement of women and of the impositions which weigh heavily on the whole system shows, according to the author, that this institution, whilst apparently simply based on age, may in fact represent the same power of political organisation that the generational system more usually found in East Africa or in the lake district of the Ivory Coast
