In August 2013, the first course of the GASI Summer School took place in Belgrade, Serbia. I was the only Israeli student attending among students from England, Germany, Finland, Greece and Serbia. The staff consisted of senior group analysts from various European countries. Within four days, a micro international community was forming between us, multilingual yet united by the group analysis language. In this article I wish to examine the social unconscious and the Israeli social unconscious in particular, as appeared and manifested to me during the Summer School in Belgrade
