Este estudio evalúa la relación entre la exposición a un mega incendio, factores cognitivos, emocionales y los síntomas de estrés postraumático. Se entrevistó a 249 adolescentes chilenos expuestos a un incendio (83.9% mujeres; M = 15.18 años; DT= 1.04 años), quienes respondieron a instrumentos para evaluar el miedo durante el incendio, la percepción de la eficacia del entorno social para enfrentar el incendio, la autoeficacia y síntomas de estrés postraumático.
