The role of anthropologists in the context of social change and technology and information transfer has been reviewed and documented extensively. With the recent expansion of applied anthropology and application of non-traditional research methodologies, anthropologists are turning into consultants, managers, and coordinators supervising technology' transfer programs related to resource utilization. Our peers are participating in those settings because of the need for professionals capable of offering a holistic approach to management, who understand both organizational and clientele culture and behavior and the political process. With years of experience in conflictive milieus, such as colonial polities, we have backgrounds and skills useful in constructing buffer zones between diverse and opposing interests, and the ability to deal with the complexities of multi-ethnic settings
